Happy Moon Day! Each day is affiliated with a planet, and Monday is moon day. So what does this have to do with you not giving yourself what is needed today? Somehow, society began to connect Monday with the beginning of the week (for the western part of the world, this meant the beginning of the work week 🤷🏽♀️). .
Mondays are “moody”, slow, and we always tend to affiliate that with the idea that it's because it's the first day after the weekend." , and with that began the “grind” all over again for a part of the majority seeing as how most businesses/corporations closed shops for the weekend.
In today’s world, this isn't the case.
On Mondays, (MOON days), the stressful things that exist in your life are simply highlighted. We are being influenced by these emotional waters, and other distracting topics on our minds than getting to the grind and being productive.
Moving forward,
How can you work with this cosmic energy rather than against it? Monday is supposed to be about—self care. We're supposed to be unwinding, and indulging in whatever activity that leaves you rejuvenated for the week ahead.
Moonday is not about aggressiveness or even work! It’s about SELF CARE!
Here are some quick self-care ritualz you can do right now if you are unable to flow with the energy of today to help alleviate those Monday blues:
1. Go for a walk – Feel and breathe in the air. Feel the warmth of the sun, or the crisp cold air on your skin to invigorate you.
2. Take a pause with some deep breaths:
Fill your belly with a deep inhale. Hold it for a count of four, then exhale slowly and fully. Do this for a total of four rounds or so, until you feel a sense of calm.
6. Sleep! Go to bed early, read, relax, do some yoga, or stretching in bed,try your best to sleep soundly, so that you wake up refreshed!
